Frequently Asked Questions

B2P Australia Pty Ltd is the Australian subsidiary of B2P Limited, a global company with its head office in New Zealand.

B2P has developed rapid, quantified, bacterial testing systems for potable, recreational and environmental water, grey, recycled water and effluent, milk/cream, solids such as chicken, milk powder, shellfish and fish, fresh produce and red meat  that can be used in the field simply, anywhere, anytime and anyplace. Using our sophisticated portable field instrumentation quantified results can be obtained as soon as 45 minutes and absolute negatives in as short a period as 8-9 hours. In our R&D Laboratory we can get this time down to about 4 hours for <1 E. coli/100ml and the commercial release of the software for this version should occur in 2009.

Test results can be linked to an automated alarm system or a web based complete database for later spatial or time analysis and multi group reporting.

Our system is about now having testing procedures that can be incorporated directly into pathogen risk management / HACCP systems - NOT to just provide a later check on whether your other procedures appear to be working.

The test kits can also be used to get simple yes/no answers or quantified answers by reading the time it takes for colour to change from blue to pink to white using a simple incubator. In this case, time to observable visual colour change is still fast but absolute negatives take about 11-14 hours.
